Your $1,200 Cash Courier
Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, and Square have all marched up to Washington. It’s not for a bailout (yet!). They’re rivaling to play the hero, score business, and deliver President Trump’s aid checks to families in need.
Their pitch is simple. They have electronic payment systems that can instantly drop $1,200 into the bank account of every adult citizen, hands-free to prevent the spread, and even sneaking in a special discount. After all, they are dealing with the President of the United States!
It’s no wonder payment companies are so keen. The past weeks have seen millions lose their jobs, and countless high street shopkeepers lock up. Nobody will spend, so this a chance for them to boon their stock prices with some rare good news.
Insiders say Visa and Mastercard are closest to a deal, but they’ll have to scrap to get it over the line. Twitter chief executive and Square co-founder Jack Dorsey has tweeted his willingness to help, advocating digital wallets.
Digital wallets might be a bit too fresh from the oven for 73-year old Donald Trump’s liking. He prefers the less hi-tech (and less sterile) option of November voters tearing open physical letters with wads of dollar bills inside, presumably with his name, face, and MAGA slogan featured on an accompanying note.
Honestly, it’s a no-brainer to involve the payment cos, and when our community trades these digital money movers, they usually come through. You would expect stock pickers to be rewarded for their 95% bullish stances on both Visa and Mastercard, but let’s see what happens!
