This week we asked the Invstr Community which messaging platform they would use to stay connected to friends and family in 2021. Staying connected to loved ones amid the pandemic is essential, and with so many apps to choose from, we wanted to know which apps are the most popular.
Coming in at the top spot, 38% of invstrs will use Facebook’s messenger app. Amid so much political controversy surrounding Facebook, it’ll be interesting to see if this trend continues.
In second place, 35% of Invstrs say they will use WhatsApp. WhatsApp is simple to use, and it employs end-to-end encryption to keep messages private. Privacy is a growing concern amongst some Americans, so it’s no surprise that it’s so popular.
16% of Invstrs say they will use Signal, another messaging app that uses end-to-end encryption to keep messages private. Tesla CEO Elon Musk recommended Signal to his followers when social media sites such as Twitter started banning accounts for posting alleged disinformation.
Finally, 11% of invstrs say they will use Telegram, yet another messaging app that uses end-to-end encryption. Privacy is a top concern amongst Invstrs, and it’ll be interesting to see which messaging platforms rise and fall in 2021.
