Poll: What would You Do to Earn A Quick Buck?

  • 13%           Buy a lottery ticket
  • 14%           Sports bet
  • 12%           Buy cryptos
  • 46%           Buy stocks
  • 15%           Ask Dad!

We asked the Invstr community what you would do to earn a quick buck. The results are in and they tell a pretty interesting story. Out of the five options, two of them are financial assets, stocks and cryptos. Cryptos were given the cold shoulder in the poll and came dead last by only receiving 12% of the votes. On the other hand, the option to buy stocks won by an overwhelming majority with 46% of the votes.

If you look at the data, you can see that the invstr community would rather buy a lottery ticket than be buying cryptos right now. This either means that investor sentiment is heavily bearish for cryptocurrencies or that cryptos are simply unpopular.

For a community of investors, it is odd that a lottery ticket or sports bet seems more attractive than buying Bitcoin, Ethereum or Litecoin. Generally, looking for ways to multiply your cash outside of the lottery is the safest bet.

Regardless, if all else fails, make sure to ask dad for money to make a sports bet. With the money you win from the sports bet, buy a lottery ticket. If you manage to pull off the impossible and win the lottery, buy a bunch of high dividends paying stocks and ride out to the sunset 😉
