Market Recap – December 28th
On Wednesday, U.S. stocks fell further, continuing the significant decline at the end of 2022. The S&P 500 index declined 1.2%, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average falling 1.1% or 366 points and the Nasdaq Composite dropping 1.4%. Looking at specific investments, we’re looking at Apple and Capital One Securities. Apple’s shares fell 3.1%, continuing its steak of falling over the last three days. Kala Pharmaceuticals, a biopharmaceutical company, experienced a significant increase of 218.4% after the Food and Drug Administration accepted its investigational new drug application for a potential treatment for persistent corneal epithelial defects.
