Market Recap – October 25th
Following Rishi Sunak’s appointment as the British Prime Minister and big earnings calls by Microsoft and Google, markets continued their rallies, resembling gains that haven’t been seen since July. The S&P 500 rallied 1.63% ending at 3,859.11, the NASDAQ Composite went up 2.25% to 11,199.12, and the Dow Jones rose 1.07% up to 31,836.74. Several tech-oriented companies made significant headwinds today, such as PayPal which grew 7.11% after Amazon added their payment service Venmo as a checkout option. Up-and-coming EV maker Lucid also had a large growth in their share price, specifically closing at an 8.75% gain after hopes that they will meet their production goals.
