Market Recap – October 21st

Stocks finished well above positive after last week’s market close, with investor sentiment rising as earnings season kicks off. The S&P 500 up 2.37% ending at 3,752.75, the NASDAQ Composite rose 2.31% to 10,859.72, and the Dow Jones grew 2.47% to 31,082.56. Some of the biggest rises from individual stocks were Moderna, which climbed 8.40% after analysts from SVB Securities upgraded their potential future performance. On the other hand, Snap was down a whopping 28.08% to a new 52-week low after missing revenue estimates from their Q3 earnings report.
