Market Recap – October 11th
After a negative start, the markets swung back and forth, ending mixed. The S&P 500 fell by 0.66%, the Dow Jones rose by 0.12%, and the NASDAQ fell by 1.10%. Many Q3 earnings are starting to be reported, increasing the degree of market swings now. Coinbase rose by 4.65% to $70.16 following Google’s decision to allow crypto cloud payments through the platform, creating a partnership between 2 large tech businesses. On the negative side, Uber fell by 10.46% to $24.65 as the Labor Department is considering changing the classification of gig workers to provide them with more benefits.
