Market Recap – November 25th
Throughout the shortened trading period due to the Thanksgiving holiday, stocks posted gains for the week with little movement on Friday. The S&P 500 slightly fell 0.03%, ending at 4,026.12, the NASDAQ Composite went down 0.52% to 11,226.36, and the Dow Jones climbed 0.45% up to 34,347.03. In anticipation of Krogerโs earnings this week, shares of the large grocer rose 2.51% as investors expect strong sales growth as their Albertsonโs merger comes into effect. In the tech space, shares of video game company Activision Blizzard plunged 4.07% following the likelihood that the FTC would block Microsoft’s $69 billion acquisition of the company.
