US stock futures ripped higher, with S&P 500, Nasdaq and Dow Jones recovering from the recent sell-off. The S&P 500 recovered much of its lost gains in the late afternoon after a Russian fighter jet collided with a US drone, which tamped down the initial enthusiasm. The tech-heavy Nasdaq achieved its biggest one-day gain in six weeks.
Two investments worth monitoring is Buzzfeed and Wells Fargo. Buzzfeed, a digital publishing company, disclosed that most of its funds were held at Silicon Valley Bank, which failed on Friday. As a result, Buzzfeed’s premarket shares decreased by over 8%. On the other hand, Wells Fargo and the stocks of other significant US banks are rising in premarket trading, regaining some of their losses from Monday.
