Market Recap – July 19th
Yesterday the Dow Jones Industrial Average displayed strength, advancing by 109.28 points. Similarly, the S&P 500 recorded a modest increase of 0.24%, while the Nasdaq Composite saw a slight uptick of 0.03%, closing at 14,358.02. Contributing to the positive sentiment, Qualcomm experienced a 2.8% surge in its shares after being added to JPMorgan’s focus list, which regarded the stock as one of the best growth opportunities for the firm. Additionally, Cisco observed a 1.4% rise as JPMorgan upgraded its rating on the enterprise technology company from neutral to overweight, suggesting that the decline in demand for Cisco’s products may be nearing its bottom.
