Market Recap – December 27th
On Tuesday, stock performance was mixed. The Dow Jones Industrial Average increased by 37.63 points (0.11%) to close at 33,241.56. In contrast, the S&P 500 decreased by 0.4% to close at 3,829.25, and the Nasdaq Composite declined by 1.38% to finish at 10,353.23. Nio’s share fell by 8.3% due to the company’s lowered delivery expectations for the fourth quarter, which was caused by supply chain issues in China. Peloton, a fitness company, announced that it would be selling refurbished bikes at a discounted price of up to $500 compared to new bikes, which caused its stock to drop by more than 8.4%.
