Market Recap – April 12th
On Wednesday’s trading day, investors created volatile environments as recessionary woes begin to catch flame. Although positive inflation data did spur markets, later released Fed comments seemed to scare some investors away. The S&P 500 declined by 0.41%, the NASDAQ Composite went down 0.85%, and the Dow Jones just fell by 0.11%. On the losing front was air-travel company American Airlines, shares of which lost 9.22% following an update to first-quarter guidance that was just on par with analysts. On the contrary, a big winner of the day was analytics firm MongoDB which grew 6.94% after upgrades from Morgan Stanley due to their cloud-market leadership.
