Market Recap – February 28th
On Tuesday, the last trading day of February, markets continued to show signs of price weakness, with investors inevitably bringing markets lower to end February with average losses across all three major indices. The S&P 500 declined 0.3%, the NASDAQ Composite went down 0.10%, and the Dow Jones fell by 0.71%.
On the negative front, major cruise company Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings released larger-than-expected earnings losses, resulting in their shares decreasing by 10.18%. Also, in accordance with broader markets, satellite provider Dish saw major outages because of a cybersecurity breach, sending the stock to fall by 6.48%.
