I’m Lovin’ it
Consumers have had goosebumps leading up to the release of Travis Scott’s new collaboration with McDonald’s eight days ago. Since then, the fast-food giant is reporting some ingredient shortages tied to the promotion.
The Travis Scott meal features a quarter-pounder topped with onions, pickles, two slices of melty cheese, ketchup, mustard, shredded lettuce, and tied all up with a couple of slices of crispy bacon. For sides, the meal offers fries dipped in barbecue sauce along with a Sprite soda to drink.
McDonald’s is already reporting that some of its restaurants have temporarily sold out of some of the ingredients in the meal. Due to this, they have decided to temporarily control the supply of ingredients like the Quarter Pound beef, bacon, onions, and lettuce to make sure their restaurants can continue to meet demand.
Travis Scott is not new to the idea of partnering up with major corporations to extend his brand reach. In the last year alone, Travis has worked with Epic Games’ Fortnite, General Mills, and even Nike. The level of fame and a following of his size definitely comes with its perks.
The question remains: are people going Sicko Mode over this promotion or is this meal really worth the hype?
