Help Is on The Way
It’s been long anticipated. Something many have cheered for and wanted to see. No, it’s not the new NBA season it is a new COVID relief package.
On Monday night, The House passed the monstrous Corona relief package, and the Senate is now looking to follow suit and approve the more than $2 trillion legislation of which conclusions have not yet been released as of writing.
The legislation includes $900 billion dedicated to coronavirus relief and $1.4 trillion targeted towards funding the government through September 30th. Also included in the new bill is a $300 per week federal unemployment supplement, $284 billion in Paycheck Protection Program loans, $600 direct payments and $8 billion for Covid-19 vaccine distribution, to name a few.
There have been months of delays to get an agreement drawn up that pleases everyone. It’s even expected that another package will be passed when President-elect Joe Biden takes office.
