Poll: The Future of Finance 💰

This week, we asked the Invstr Community if they’ve ever invested in cryptocurrency. The winner, by a wide margin, was the 60 percent of Invstrs who have invested in crypto and love their decision. Most people have at least dipped their feet in the crypto game, and it’s not surprising that they are happy with that. Crypto’s fast pace, along with all the beautiful upgrades in blockchain technology have contributed to massive gains in the last few years, giving investors some crazy profits that they won’t see in the stock market. Due to its history of high gains, this is a reasonable 1st place option. In second place is the 23 percent of Invstrs who have not invested and are regretting that decision. As we discussed previously, there were gains to be made in the crypto world, which is haunting people who had slight skeptics or were unwilling to put up with the risk although they had the gut feeling. The substantial risk is the primary reason as to why people have backed out from investing in crypto, which makes this a smart option for 2nd place.

To close out the podium, we have the 10 percent of Invstrs who did not invest in crypto and still aren’t interested. Crypto’s links to criminal activity and its status as a new concept have not given some enough backing to be valued as an investment, including Warren Buffett. Additionally, some people simply don’t have the risk appetite necessary for crypto investments no matter the possible gains. However, compared to the other options, this makes for a solid bronze finish. In last place, we have the 7 percent of Invstrs who have invested in crypto and regret that decision. As we discussed, crypto’s high risk leads to some downswings that can be large at times. Entry is a key factor, and some people enter at the peak, which is how it goes. Most people end out with gains, though, making this a good closer to the poll.
