GPT4 – AI Language
OpenAI has announced the release of GPT-4, the latest version of their AI language models. GPT-4 builds on the success of its predecessor, GPT-3.5, and introduces new capabilities in language understanding, creative problem-solving, and multimodal support. The model is more reliable and creative and can handle more nuanced instructions than GPT-3.5, especially when tackling complex tasks. GPT-4’s most significant improvement is its non-English language performance, beating out GPT-3.5 and other large language models in 24 out of 26 languages studied, including in low-resource languages like Latvian, Welsh, and Swahili.
GPT-4’s text input capability is available via ChatGPT Pro subscription, but its image input capability is still in private testing and is not yet available to the public. Some companies have already built AI-powered applications on top of the model. However, the release of GPT-4 has been met with mixed responses, with some disappointment that the official paper should have included information about the model’s size or the training dataset. What do you think about GPT-4, and will AI continue to progress at this speed?
