Change the Bar
In times of heartache, crisis, financial struggle and pain in general, humans often find creative ways to adapt and conquer. With the coronavirus pandemic affecting small businesses around the world, finding new ways to bring in a buck has become a question of survival.
One tequila bar in England has stumbled upon an interesting and creative solution to get its doors back open to the public amid these physical distancing restrictions. They used to go by “400 Rabbits Tequila and Mezcal Cocktail Bar” in Nottingham, England. Now, the bar has rebranded itself as “The Church of The Four Hundred Rabbits”.
According to the New York Post, this new name comes from the fact that the former bar has officially filed a formal application for the bar to be used as a place of worship. The bar’s owner is now looking for people to sign up as his congregation so that the submitted application can be approved.
Many small businesses like 400 Rabbits Tequila have been disproportionately shut down and have hurt the bar industry real hard. With the holiday’s coming around, these times are usually some of the busiest but with these recent closures, it’s hard for these small businesses to keep their head above the water.
Is this guy a smart and creative guy? Or should this be seen as irresponsible and ridiculous?
