Verizon Plans 5G Market Growth and Palantir Stock Trading in Range
Verizon
Verizon is one of the largest communication technology companies in the world. Verizon Communications Inc. was formed on June 30, 2000, and is celebrating its 20th year as one of the world’s leading providers of technology, communications, information and entertainment products and services. Verizon’s latest technology is 5G, and along with other carriers they are pushing the technology very hard. After the pandemic hit, technology took a huge role in all our lives. With everyone stuck at home delivering high-speed home internet becomes integral to sustaining virtual work.
Competitors in the 5G landscape are heating up with leaders at companies like AT&T, such as
David Christopher, EVP of partnerships & 5G ecosystem development for AT&T, saying: “We almost lost the year,” s “But now, people are excited to get out of their homes and experience 5G in the wild. We will dramatize use cases that matter to customers.”
Palantir
Palantir Technologies is a public American software company that specializes in big data analytics. Headquartered in Denver, Colorado, it was founded by Peter Thiel, Nathan Gettings, Joe Lonsdale, Stephen Cohen, and Alex Karp in 2003. More specifically, Palantir builds software that lets organizations integrate their data, their decisions, and their operations into one platform
Palantir has been stuck in a trading range since March of 2021, with no major breaks in either direction. In need of a positive catalyst to see new highs, some investors are looking for that reason. One of the reasons Palantir saw a boost early on was because of momentum buyers, especially those on Reddit’s r/WallStreetBets who often mentioned Palantir. Because Palantir’s product offering is more complicated, customers take months to evaluate it, and some are unable to do so altogether. One potential catalyst is Palantir’s next earnings report. If it wins bigger contracts, the stock may rally again.
