Market Recap – November 28th
Last Friday, U.S. stocks closed lower as the Dow Jones and S&P 500 experienced their largest one-day percentage drop in months. The Dow Jones fell 2.5%, S&P 500 fell 1.8%, and the Nasdaq fell 1.4%. Fears of the new coronavirus variant found in South Africa weighed down on stock indices.
Healthcare stocks Moderna and Pfizer rose 20.57% and 6.11%, respectively. Shares of the two COVID-vaccine producers likely jumped due to news of the novel covid variant.
