Today we are watching…
1. Airbus (#airbus)
Airbus just trounced Boeing for plane orders at the Paris Air Show, and it wasn’t even close. Almost a thousand aircraft changed hands at the event, and the 234 sales that Boeing did manage to secure are now the priority of Airbus to win back. As Boeing rebuilds trust with customers following two March accidents, Airbus is capitalizing. The stock shows it, up almost 50% since January. Is the top dog spot changing hands in the aerospace industry?
2. Amazon (#amzn)
Staying in the sky, world-beater Amazon is now also strengthening its fleet. The online retailer has ordered in some air freighters to reinforce its competitive threat against the likes of FedEx, who reports earnings tomorrow. If Amazon Air can successfully handle its own shipments, then investors will undoubtedly be tallying up the potential profits in handling others. Fasten your seat belts.
