Market Recap – April 20th
The markets finally made a move on Thursday, although it was not for the better. Weakness in the tech sector played a role as investors were delivered mixed earnings once again, along with more signs that the US economy is slowing down. The trading day ended with the S&P 500 down 0.60%, the Dow Jones down 0.33%, and the NASDAQ down 0.80%, a clear indication that tech struggled.
One of those tech companies was AT&T, falling by 10.41% to $17.65 after reporting weak subscriber growth and a revenue miss in their first quarter earnings. Not everyone had a bad earnings day though, with D.R. Horton rising by 5.64% to $107.60 following a solid earnings beat paired with extremely positive guidance for the rest of the year.
