Market Recap – August 18th
Markets recovered from early losses with the S&P 500 up 0.23%, the Dow Jones up 0.06%, and the NASDAQ up 0.21%. Investors moved on from disappointing earnings and a fizzling meme rally to advance forward, but there were good earnings too. Canadian Solar rose by 15 percent after they raised their revenue guidance, and they had positive words for the Inflation Reduction Act. One of the downers was Bed Bath and Beyond, who fell by 20 percent by market close and 40 percent after hours as it was announced that Ryan Cohen will be selling his position.
