Market Recap – March 16th
Yesterday, Markets continued their rebound from yesterday upon expectations that Ukraine and Russia war could end in a cease-fire. Unlike last week’s failed negotiations some progress might be occurring. Indeed, it is reported that the two countries have made “significant progress” on a peace plan and Russian withdrawal, the Financial Times reported. More specifically, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov told the BBC there was “some hope of reaching a compromise.” Russian State media quoting the Kremlin. Major indexes were up yesterday with the Dow Jones climbing 1.1% and the Nasdaq climbing 2.7%. Looking at two specific investments, we’re watching Nvidia and Boeing. Nvidia added 2.3% in the premarket after Wells Fargo added it to its “signature picks” list and Boeing gained 2% after Baird declared the stock a bullish pick.
