Market Recap – February 17th
The markets moved in cohesion this time, although ending the week mixed as the choppiness continued. Continuing from earlier this week, the indices started off extremely down but reclaimed some of their losses. Overall, the week ended with the S&P 500 down 0.28%, the Dow Jones up 0.39%, and the NASDAQ down 0.58%. Tech continued to lag once again, showing the fear of interest rates to investors.
Despite the gloomy day, there were two major winners. First is DraftKings, rising by 15.33% to $20.54 due to impressive revenue growth while also raising their full-year financial outlook. Contrary to the NASDAQ, HubSpot rose by 11.80% to $404.65 after they also reported an earnings beat along with good guidance, spelling out a trend on Friday.
