Watch Out for The New Apple Watch and AstraZeneca Vaccine Trial in The U.S. On Hold
Apple
Apple’s well-known product launch event kicked off on Tuesday. The company got things going with the announcement of its new Apple Watch Series 6. The coolest feature the device sports is a blood-oxygen sensor that takes real-time readings in 15 seconds.
As for cost, a GPS-enabled model of the Apple Watch Series 6 will run you $399. They are also releasing a lower-cost version of the watch called the Apple Watch SE. This watch has a faster chip than the Apple Watch 3 and will be starting at $279. On Friday, the watches will be available so grab your masks and your hand sanitizer and go check them out for yourself!
AstraZeneca
The Federal Drug Administration has put AstraZeneca’s vaccine candidate on hold after starting an investigation into the side effect that caused trials to be halted earlier this month. The company has stated though that clinical trials for the vaccine have resumed in the U.K
Over the course of the year, AstraZeneca gained a total of 8%. It will be interesting to see who will win the race to mass-production of a proper covid-19 vaccine.
