Market Recap – January 13th
Markets started yesterday with a struggle as the rebound in tech faded. All major indexes were down, with the Nasdaq Composite falling about 1.7%, The S&P 500 losing 0.9%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average slipping 30 points midday after gaining over 200 points earlier in the day. Overall, the markets have remained sideways for the week with falloffs in tech. Two stocks we’re looking at are Boeing and Snapchat. Boeing gained 3% as Chinese aviation regulators issued an order to bring Boeing’s 737 Max back to the skies after its over two-and-a-half-year grounding. On the other hand, shares of Snapchat tumbled over 6% as they may continue to face challenges from Apple’s privacy rules.
