Market Recap – June 10th
Markets had a rough week, with the S&P declining nearly 5% over the past 5 days. Last Friday alone, The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 1.94%, The S&P 500 dropped 2.38%, and the Nasdaq Composite shed 2.75%. These trends are driven by continually rising inflation, and in turn decline in higher growth sectors like tech.
Looking at specific investments, we’re watching DocuSign and Vail Resort. DocuSign allows organizations to manage electronic agreements, and the stock added 2.7% last week in light of news that DocuSign is expanding its partnership with Microsoft. On the other hand, shares of the ski vacation resort “Vail Resort ” jumped 6% after stronger than expected results for the fiscal third quarter.
