Spotify Closes Yet Another Deal and Chipotle Is Moving Digital

Spotify has been looking to expand and dominate more than just the music space. After closing multimillion-dollar deals with the likes of Joe Rogan, Kim Kardashian and Michelle Obama, it’s hard to guess exactly what they’ll be doing next.

Well on Tuesday, Spotify announced yet another acquisition of the company Megaphone. This will provide technology for podcast publishers and advertisers looking for targeted slots on podcasts. Shares were down 6.5% on Tuesday afternoon.

Chipotle 

Chipotle is getting ready to try a new business model in New York on Saturday that they call their first digital-only location. For this restaurant, the only way you will get some food is if you order in advance.

There will be no seating or “frontline service”. You will simply pick your food up from the lobby and go on with your day. Over the course of the year, Chipotle stock has done very well with gains over 50% for the period.
