Earnings Recap – December 9th
Oracle
GameStop reported Q2 earnings on Thursday. The American global computer technology company reported earnings of $1.21 per share, vs. analysts’ expectations of $1.11 per share. Revenue grew 6% from last year to $10.36 billion vs. $10.21 billion as expected by analysts. In Q3, the company expects earnings of $1.14 to $1.18 per share on 3% to 5% revenue growth.
Costco Wholesale
Costco Wholesale reported Q1 earnings on Thursday. The company reported earnings of $2.98 per share vs. analysts’ expectations of $2.62 per share. Revenue grew 16.5% from last year to $50.46 billion vs analysts’ expectations of $49.65 billion. Costco’s revenue from membership fees accounts for most of the company’s revenues. Membership fees climbed 9.9% year over year to $946 million, vs. analysts’ expectations of $929.6 million.
