Airbnb
Airbnb reported strong Q3 earnings on Thursday. The company reported earnings per share of $1.22. Revenue was $2.24 billion, up 67% year over year, vs. $2.05 billion as expected by analysts. Net income was or $1.34 a share, up 280% from a year ago, beating Wall Street’s expectations of $0.75 per share. The company expects revenue between $1.39 billion and $1.48 billion in Q4.
Moderna
Moderna reported weak Q3 earnings on Thursday. The company reported diluted earnings of $7.70 per share vs $9.42 as expected by analysts. Revenue was $5 billion, 20% shy of the $6.2 billion in revenue as expected by Wall Street. The company expects sales of $15-$18 billion this year, down from its previous forecast of $20 billion.
