Market Recap – December 5th
The markets took a tumble on Monday due to concerns about the tech sector and the energy sector. This mixed with economic data releasing caused investors to worry ahead of the Federal Reserve meeting next week, creating volatility in the market. The indices closed negative with the S&P 500 down 1.79%, the Dow Jones down 1.4%, and the NASDAQ down 1.93%. Tesla fell 6.37% to $182.45 following reports from China that the production of Model Y cars will be cut, something that Tesla has refuted. Salesforce also found themselves down 7.35% to $133.93 due to the departure of Slack CEO Stewart Butterfield, another hit to the cloud company.
