Intel Launches New Laptop Processors and Samsungs’ New $2000 Phone
Samsung
The new Samsung Z Fold2 will run you back around $2000. You can buy a pretty good laptop for that price. While it not being a portable computer, the Z fold2 phone folds open to a mini-tablet sized 7.6-inch screen.
Last year’s Z fold model was far more fragile than Samsung had hoped, and it only cost $1000. The new effort at creating a durable and lasting foldable phone still has its challenges but hopefully, the boost in price will give the company the budget to execute its vision and the phone a breath of new life.
Intel
Intel announced a significant advancement in the company’s goal to manufacture a single semiconductor that can perform a range of functions spread across several chips, with the release of a new line of laptop processors.
Still, Intel’s stock has been hit hard this year falling a total of 15%. Meanwhile, competitors such as Nvidia and Advanced Micro Devices have done extremely well over the course of this year.
Is this short-term weakness actually a part of a much larger problem?
