Dollar General reported Q3 earnings on Thursday. The company reported earnings of $2.08 per share vs. analysts’ expectations of $2.01 per share. Revenue grew 3.9% to $8.52 billion vs. $8.5 billion as expected by Wall Street. Same-store sales declined 0.6% decline in the third quarter vs. analysts’ expectations of a 5% decline. The company projected earnings between $9.90 to $10.20 per share for the fiscal year.
Signet Jewelers
Signet Jewelers reported Q3 earnings on Thursday. The company reported earnings of $1.45 per share vs. analysts’ expectations of $0.72 per share. Revenue rose to $1.54 billion from $1.3 billion a year ago. Analysts were expecting revenue of $1.43 billion. Same-store sales rose 18.9% vs. 11.6% as expected by analysts. The company projected revenue between $7.41 billion and $7.49 billion for fiscal 2022.
