Market Recap – August 4th
The markets were mixed with the S&P 500 down 0.08%, the Dow Jones down 0.26%, and the NASDAQ up 0.41%. Indices sagged ahead of the jobs report today which will show how the labor market performed in July. Crocs fell with the S&P 500, down 10 percent as they cut their forecast for the rest of the year. However, there were some non-tech names that did well despite what the S&P and Dow showed you. Rent-A-Center was up by as much as 20 percent on Thursday due to an earnings beat despite lower guidance.
