Market Recap – April 29th
After an amazing day, the markets continued to struggle with the S&P 500 down 3.63%, the Dow Jones down 2.77%, and the NASDAQ down 4.17%. Disappointing earnings from some of the biggest companies in the world weighed down the indices, the main culprit being Amazon. Amazon reported their first quarterly loss in 7 years, sending their stock tumbling by 14 percent for the worst day since 2014. On the cyclical end, Chevron also posted a miss on earnings due to the volatility of oil prices, falling by 5 percent.
